Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) is a common-national level engineering entrance examination. All the students who aspire to get admission to the most prestigious and in-demand engineering colleges and universities in India. The examination is further divided into two segments, JEE (Main) and JEE (Advanced).
The JoSAA conducts post-exam counselling, but there are numerous institutes that do not participate but use the JEE (Advanced) score as the basis of admission. The Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISERs), the Indian Institute of Petroleum and Energy (IIPE), the Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology (RGIPT), the Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST), and the Indian Institute of Science (IISC) are some of these institutions.
JEE (Main) is a computer-based engineering entrance test that is one of the most popular for admission to NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs. However, many famous private colleges accept JEE (Main) scores as a foundation for admission to Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) and Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) programmes.
Taking the JEE Main is the first step toward becoming an engineer. JEE (Main) 2024 will be held in two sessions, session 1 in January 2024 and session 2 in April 2024 at various examination centres.
Session 1: 24 January to 1 February 2024.
Session 2: 01 to 15 April 2024
The exam has 3 papers in total.
Candidates must fulfil the eligibility requirements established by India’s National Testing Agency (NTA) in order to take JEE (Main) 2024. Candidates should verify the eligibility requirements before filling out the form since those who do not qualify for the exam will be disqualified and will not be eligible for admission.
The eligibility criteria for JEE (Main) 2024 as determined by the NTA can be segmented into two categories.
The JEE (Main) 2024 examination is being held in two sessions: January and April 2024. The candidate can apply for just one session or both sessions at the same time by paying the appropriate fees. This provides the applicants with a two-fold advantage. They can improve their scores in the second session if the first one was not up to par or if they missed the first session due to uncertain circumstances. As a result, the candidate will not have to wait a year to take the most coveted engineering admission test.
The admit card for the JEE (Main) is released by the NTA on their official website. For engineering aspirants, the admit card is a crucial piece of paper. They must carry their JEE (Main) admit card as well as a picture ID to the exam centre in order to take the exam.
The DASA/CIWG Scheme started by the Ministry of Human Resources and Development allows aspiring engineering NRI students to get admission to the top engineering institutes in India. This scheme is often referred to as the ‘NRI Quota’ among NRIs in the Middle East and elsewhere.
Currently, there are three alternatives for NRI students under the DASA Scheme: Engineering Admission in India.
The organising authority for JEE (Main) 2024, NTA, has provided relief to engineering aspirants outside India. The online computer-based examination will now take place in several nations including GCC countries. To serve the growing number of international engineering aspirants, NTA has allotted exam centres at 25 cities outside India. This allows NRIs and other foreign citizens to apply for admission to India’s best technical schools.
Candidates can now select their chosen exam centre when filling out the application. They should be informed that after the JEE (Main) 2024 admit card is issued, they will not be allowed to change their centres.
The JEE (Main) comprises two papers: Paper 1 for Bachelor’s of Engineering/ Bachelor’s of Technology and Paper 2 for Bachelor’s of Architecture/ Bachelor’s of Planning, as we all know. The test patterns for both exams are different. Candidates should be aware that the JEE (Main) 2024 will be held entirely online, with the exception of the B.Arch.’s drawing test, which will be done offline.
The test pattern below has been designed to make it easy for students to absorb the information and score as high as possible.
The JEE (Main) requires a thorough understanding of key concepts in three subjects: physics, chemistry and mathematics.
Candidates will need all of the assistance they can obtain in order to qualify for the JEE (Advanced), the second part of the NTA-conducted engineering admission test originally known as IIT-JEE.
Even the greatest reading material is insufficient when preparing for JEE (Main) 2024. Candidates require experienced mentors to help them through the entire process, as well as exclusive tips and tricks. The insider secrets that only someone who has continued to work in the field for a long time can provide, someone who understands the ins & outs of the test and how to navigate it to score well above the cut-off.
